The Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development has approved the national «Healthcare» project with a budget of 1.3 trillion rubles

The President’s Council of the Russian Federation on strategic development and national projects has approved the national project "Healthcare". For its execution, more than 1.3 trillion rubles will be invested within six years,-said Veronika Skvortsova, Minister of Health, at the meeting of the Presidium of the Council.

"The main decision is the approval of the national project "Healthcare" and the approval of federal projects related to health, which are part of the national project " Demography ", - said Skvortsova.

According to the minister, more than 1 trillion and 360 billion rubles are allocatedfor the implementation of the national project for the next six years. More than half of this amount will be spent within the first three years - from 2019 to 2021.

The social unit of the Russian Government proposed to allocatejust over 1.5 trillion rubles for execution of the national project, most of this amount - 1.479 trillion rubles - was planned as subsidies from the federal budget.

The National Health Project includes eight "subprojects", united by the common goal - to solve the tasks set by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in a new May decree (No. 204 of May 7, 2018).

In late July, the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects approved the composition of the Committee on the national project "Healthcare". Vice-premier of the social unit,Tatyana Golikova  was appointed as a chairman of the committee, and Veronika Skvortsova, the head of the Ministry of Health was appointed as a co-chairman. As for the regional ministers, only the head of the Ministry of Health of the Rostov region Tatyana Bykovskaya and the head of the Moscow Department of Health Alexei Khripun became members of the committee.
